The Ohio State University Women’s Club was founded in 1895 to stimulate intellectual and moral development and to promote fellowship among members in the University community.   We welcome members from the Greater Columbus area, including those without direct association with The Ohio State University, as we have evolved from a faculty Wives Club into a Women’s Club open to all.

 Our programs and 20 plus Interest Groups educate us and enrich our lives and provide opportunities for individuals and the organization  to make a difference in our University and larger extended communities. Our mission is to bring members together in friendship; to provide educational, cultural, and social activities for our members; and to support scholarships for OSU students.

We support three University scholarship funds with a combined endowment of over $1,000,000 through the proceeds from  Buckeye Bargains, our on-Campus thrift shop founded in 1966 and through individual donations. We support an average of 17 students each year in their studies, with a preference for women students.  

We look forward each year to continuing the fine tradition of promoting friendship, education, and service established by our founders more than 125 years ago. This is reflected in our motto, adopted in 1895 from William Shakespeare’s The Tempest: 

“Here is my hand…and mine, with my hear in it”
